What we do
At this point, most white people are aware that racism is a big problem. We know that many white people care but feel unsure of what to do, how to do it, or where to start, and we want to make all that easier so that it doesn't hold anyone back from doing what's right. We partner with local leaders and organizations representing Black, Indigenous and other racialized communities to support their causes, and we take our direction from them, but we don't wait to be told what to do. We are committed to showing up, to moving past fear and guilt, and restoring well-being to our racialized friends, families and communities. Read more below.
1. Moving Money
We inspire white people to give freely and invest in the work of local organizations that are led and for Black, Indigneous and other racially marginalized communities. Learn more about how and why we move money from our friends at SURJ Toronto.
2. Mobilization
We call in white people to amplify the message of anti-racism and show up for causes that matter to our racialized friends, family and communities in our regions.
3. Learning
We take responsibility for our own learning so that we can show up in ways that help and matter. Check out our learning page for resources and opportunities.
